お盆いきてぇー!
Thank you, my 79 adherent followers!
Grateful to know that I'm not just a bandwidth-wasting blog. :3
Seems like we're in the midst of summer break. I've been tied up with meeting my visiting friends. Although I do enjoy the company, I can't wait until next month when things simmer down a bit. That is, until I visit Hawaii--that's when my I start doodling in my planner again.
Since last week, my lips have been severely dry and would chap each time I smile. I had high hopes that it would heal by now. :( I feel like I'm being tortured to smile which is killing me at the moment. I have a feeling that the cause for these unkissable lips is because of over exfoliation with harsh toothbrush bristles. Or maybe because of the weather? Trying to find the "right" treatment this time. Anyone have any ideas? I really don't want to result in visiting the derma and taking meds. I even heard that some doctors make you take steroids. o_O no thanks.
Tomorrow starts my obon vacation. Obon(お盆) is the season in which we celebrate and honor the dead (ancestors probably would have been a better word), kind of like Halloween. Except we wear yukatas and dance around to traditional Japanese music. I won't be attending one this year seeing that I forgot my yukata in Hawaii. They're not too expensive here but I'm pinching on pennies at the moment because I'm planning on a possible 2-night rendezvous next weekend.

Hope everyone's having a great summer and not melting away.
I leave you with a picture of my new bought earrings. Are these the so-called peek-a-boo earrings?

I'm also having so serious dry lip problems. I can't even wear lipstick without it sitting on the cracked bits. Looks so gross :( I think it may be the weather for me because I never had that problem before & nothing really in my diet has changed. But is has been awfully hot this summer. Like unbearably crazy hot. Hope you find a solution to your chapped lips problem soon :(
uh oh chapped lips! that was actually the start of what i had :( i found out later that i had "chelitis" it was terrible :( i hope that's not what you have! but i'm healed :) let me know if you want the remedy, but let's just hope it's not chelitis!
dang woman, how they hell do you keep getting followers! jealous much! hahahaha! nah i could see why ;) but seems like they keep multiplying when i visit your page! whats your secret to getting all these readers??
oh btw, you should be expecting a letter sometime soon mwaa hahaha
I would sometimes have this problem too, especially back on the east coast. Weather is a big part of it - if it is dry outside, it sucks out moisture from your skin (and lips). Also it seems like lips can get used to too much balm. The only one that really works for me is Blistex which comes in a small blue pot. But aside from that, two important things: 1) drink more water! plain water, not soda etc. 2) try as much as possible NOT to lick your lips. It seems like you're wetting them, but saliva is actually very drying. Good luck!
Ahh yeah. I do excessively lick my lips. But for this past week I've been trying not to and I drink almost 8 mugs of water a day. It might be the weather...ahh makes me miss Hawaii! Never had so many health problems until I moved here. :(
I LOVE THAT earring! =D Saw yamapi and boa wearing those too..ekeke.. Yours are cuter though!

sorry to hear about your chapped lips.. juvy is the expert on that stuff so im sure she'll have some tips for you.. if not, you could try coconut oil.. i use it for everything (hahaha juvy is probably going to laugh if you tell her)
and those earrings are sooo cute!!!!!! i wish my ears were tiny so i could wear earrings and show them off, but they're not! i love those on you though!
and what cute purikura! send me some more when you have the chance! hehehe <3
Those earrings are amazing! Whoever thought of that style is a genius.
I don't get how steroids would be a cure for chapped lips O_o Oh, I never would have linked over exfoliation to dry skin! Maybe that's why my nose is flaky sometimes. My skin was super dry when I was in Tokyo. I think it's a very drying climate! Drinking fluids helps... and I guess it's good practice to keep lips moisturised with a good balm.
Cute earrings!!
Adorable purikura!
